Gun Laws Passed During 2023 Session Take Effect Oct 1st
The gun laws passed during the 2023 Session will take effect on October 1st of this year. Litigation pending in the Courts may alter the effective dates of some, but not all, provisions of the new laws. Senate Bill 1 will change the way all gun owners will be required to transport firearms.
MFRW News on Maryland Climate Pathway
On June 30th the Maryland Department of the Environment released its proposed plan for implementing the Climate Solutions Now Act of 2022 requiring Maryland to reach a 60% reduction in net greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from 2006 levels by 2031, and Zero net statewide GHG emissions by 2045.
